November 16, 2009

What is the best way to do a video chat with my cousin in South America? Free would be best?

Does anyone know of a good free or cheap web host that has video conferencing?

If you both use MSN messenger that would work and be free

Skype is also an option. Skype excells at Voice over IP, but also has a fairly good video conferencing. Just make sure you both have good net connections and you should be fine.

I’d also recommend Skype. Voice chat and video conferencing are free, but you can also put money on your account to call actual phones from your computer to most anywhere in the world. My brother used it in Japan to call our house phone from his laptop and talk to us at only $.02 a minute! So yeah, Skype works well all the way around.

    Messenger works fine too.
