Weight Watchers online question?

July 24, 2010 By: admin Category: Diet & Fitness

Chanel asked:

All men and women out there who have had any experience with weight watchers online…I need your help!

I’m planning on joinging weight watchers online, and wanted to know what your experiences were with the online system. I’m a pretty disciplined person, and will not slack off just because I won’t have to face others at meetings…but seems like online would be a lot more convenient for me as I am a full time college student and employeed.

Please share your success stories, and/or any advice regarding weight watchers online…and last but not least. With the weight watchers online, are you mailed a “points booklet” or is everything completely online?

Thank you so much for all of your help!

Jack

I haven’t done it online, but I go to the meetings.
As long as you are motivated enough to do it without the meetings, I’d give it a go.

I just joined Weight Watchers. They are selling a book for points for restaurants, and a general points book. I didn’t get it for free—I bought the starter kit and got the books and a three month journal. Perhaps you can go to the nearest one and get the books.

I did it online last year. I ended up purchasing the books the previous post is talking about. Along with that, I bought a calculator to figure points out. It got expensive for me after a while, so I only was a member for 7 months. Now I just use the book and calculator and do fine. I wasn’t aiming to loose a bunch of weight, but a few pounds and then maintain. Really, it helps you develope better eating habits.

The think I miss about doing weight watchers online is a page that let you put in all of the ingredients of a recipe, how many servings it made, and then it would calculate how many points per serving.

My mother-in-law was a weight watchers leader, so I also was able to get some stuff from her. I totally recommed trying it online. I was also a full-time college student and worked full-time when I joined, so it would have been very hard to go to a meeting.

If you decide to do it, I do suggest buying the points books and calculator (i think they were about 45 or 50$) b/c if you choose to cancel membership online, you can still look up point values – just not online!
