<a href="">Debbie</a>

Of course the n900 is better. It uses an ARM Cortex A8 processor which is three times faster the the n97's processor. The n900 also supports more apps running on Linux based Maemo 5 and you can surf the web the way you do in your desktop computer with mozilla in it. The down side is it's really bulky and 181 grams is really freakishly heavy for a phone!! The battery is weak too and drains faster so you'll have to charge it a LOT of times. The n900 has good functionality, but not so handy. The camera isn't so good too with a tiny 5MP camera. If you can live with that, then the n900 is good for you.

The n97 mini is good but it's quite slow. And the n97 has a faulty design in it. The camera protector that was suppose to protect the camera, actually scratches the camera. There have been a klot of complaints about this. And the camera is only 5MP too which isn't so good. Don't know if the mini has it though.

Also, I would highly suggest the Sony Ericsson Satio having the same processor with n900 which is really fast with 12MP camera and amazing user interface. It also has a lot of media capabilities. It supports nHD gaming too!! Or the XPERIA X2 coming this October. It has a sleek design and awesome UI running on the latest WinMo 6.5 professional.

You should definitely check this phones out too.. Don't decide so quickly or maybe you'll regret it.

I really hope I helped!

<a href="">Jeanette</a>

i would choose the Nokia n900. My opinion, i feel the n97-mini is just the n97 repackaged because the n97 wasn't really sucessfull.

On the other hand, the n900 is a new idea (mobile computer vs n97-multimedia device). From the trailers and interviews, the OS running on the n900 Maemo (Linux) seems very promising as compared to the N97's Symbian.

Well, about video conferencing, even though its not mentioned, i strongly feel that the n900 have a stronger, higher and better capability than then n97-mini due to its OS, RAM, multi tasking etc. in this area.

Lastly, i feel that what is lacking in the n900 which some people might be looking out for is the N-Gage platform (gaming).

Its really a new concept which i feel worth the money paying for, rather than an old concept thats probably refurbished.
